Comparable qualifications in biology or biochemistry are also acceptable for applicants wishing to do graduate studies in biochemistry. Proficiency in English. Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to pursue graduate studies in their chosen field. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry requires only a brief and to the point statement of purpose. One or two paragraphs are adequate. The applicant should explain why he or she wants to study at Concordia, and the statement can also indicate a preference for a particular research area, or even a specific research group. Most importantly, the statement must be original, i.e., written by the applicant in his or her own words. |
